What is Procrastination?

Procrastination ruins your lives. The term ‘procrastination’ expresses the act of putting off until tomorrow what should be done today:

  • I need to rest a bit more and I check my social network;
  • I will go running tomorrow; I need a fresh and sweet soda to finish my work;
  • I will invest the remaining money with leverage to succeed financially faster”;
  • Etc.

In the world of work, procrastination is also a big problem for productivity and job attractiveness.

If you are an employee who just works to earn a salary, you are in a vicious cycle. It might be your employer’s fault for not yet implementing a more dynamic HR policy, but it’s also your fault when you’re passive

Every time you grant yourself a dopamine boost without effort, you’re plunging into a hell disguised as paradise. It’s sad, but the enjoyment of immediate pleasures is a value proposition of the modern world:

  • Social media videos;
  • On-demand cinema;
  • Alcoholic beverages;
  • Chemical sodas;a
  • Industrial food;
  • Financial products with leverage for quick fortune;
  • Odd products for effortless muscle building;
  • Excessive cosmetic surgery;
  • Entrepreneurs without a project seeking funds;
  • Etc.

The modern individual doesn’t want to wait to get their doses of well-being and wealth. They can even create it in their social network, with a virtual world that will eventually weigh them down permanently.

The benefits of having a positive mindset

Do you know many people around you who succeed with this behavior? Probably not. If you run, you know it well. Often tired before putting on the shoes, and struggling in the first kilometer, your body adapts, and you end up doing about ten kilometers at your pace, breathing deeply. Back home, under the shower, you are not the same person. Your brain and body are oxygenated, you get a natural and lasting dopamine dose. Its power is superior to an hour of social network and yet 90% of people can’t force themselves to run. Believe me, I’m 57 with accompanying herniated discs, but I don’t stop running. Nothing is worse than not moving. Be careful if you have a desk job, sitting on a chair. It’s your worst enemy. Every 45 minutes, you should do some squats and hydrate properly. Water, coffee, tea but certainly not chemical sodas. Take a drink that gives you a positive energy boost, a lasting dopamine dose. Take the example of our Drinkizz beverage.
